Born in a former century Ronald Joseph Scala grew up in western Pennsylvania on “Poe” Drive, hence a lifelong interest in horror fiction. While in college a pivotal event transformed him from an avid reader to an aspiring writer. He came upon an abandoned barn littered with the remains of…….. well, you’ll have to read the book to get the details. Anyway, the strange events that occurred on that day inspired Ron to eventually write his first horror novel "Beckoned".
