I have to be honest. When I was young, I lived, breathed, ate and slept sports. They were my life. The summer I was 16, my mother wouldn't let me do anything unless I was reading a book. My older brother had read the Shannara Books by Terry Brooks and told me about them, so I chose to read one of them. Every since, I have been hooked on reading. For a long time I would only read fantasy, so it is safe to say that J.R.R. Tolkien and Terry Brooks have been two of the biggest influences in my writing.
