When I was younger, I was ashamed of my sorrows.  They seemed to diminish me. So I hid them well beneath layers of laughter, forced smiles, and contrived excitement.  As I have aged, joy has found me.  Most people speak more about the peace they sense in me than of happiness.  The first is a fruit of the sprit that is within me--the indominable human spirit graced by the breath of my Redeemer God.  The second is a consequence of my environment.  I have made some good choices, though not all my choices have been good, and have been blessed by the love and laught more...
