Alan D. Busch is an independent writer in Skokie, Illinois and the father of three children: Benjamin Z’L, Kimberly and Zac. His first book, Snapshots In Memory of Ben, was published in December of 2007 by Water Forest Press and has been reviewed in the New York based Jewish Press by Shayna Hunt, Critical Essays published by literary critic and poet Adam Donaldson Powell, the Chicago Jewish United Fund News Magazine and PoeticaMagazine.com. Alan has published articles of prose and poetry in Bereavement Publications/Living With Loss,The Chicago JUF News Magazine, Poetworks.com, Aish.com, Skyline Productions, Poetica Magazine, the Jewish Press of New York, the Orthodox Union (ou.org) and Horizons Magazine of Targum Press.
Two of his essays appear in an anthology of new Jewish writers, Everyone's Got A Story, edited by Ruchama King Feuerman. He is currently working on his second book, a series of short stories about his late father, Dr. Albert I. Busch, Z'L
