WHATEVER! A Baby Boomer's Into Middle Age started out as a journal. I was beginning to experience some physical and emotional changes that I didn't quite understand. I thought I was going crazy! I called my gynecologist and she told me to write down the what, where, when and how of my experiences and I later learned I was in the early stages of menopause. From there I kept writing about other issues going on in my life. I shared it with a couple of friends and they suggested I publish a book. I look at my writing as another form of ministry. I write to share and encourage.
The greatest thrill for me to this point was having my manuscript reviewed by renowned author and poet, Nikki Giovanni. That fact that she agreed to review the work of a "totally unknown" author still blows my mind!!! But I also believe it is affirmation that this book is all a part of God's plan for my life. How else could I explain it?
My biggest hurdle right now is getting the book the type of national exposure it deserves. It isn't an easy task for a self-published book by an unknown author, but I tell you this, I believe "thru Christ all things are possible." That keeps my spirit positive as I continue to make my way through this WHATEVER! journey.

| First and foremost, I LOVE GOD! He has brought through a pretty rough journey over the last several months. Without His grace and mercy, I couldn't have made it. With Him, I truly believe ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!!!
Before I became an author, I was a contributing writer in two books: How We Got Over: Testimonies of Faith, Hope and Courage and Women of Color Devotional Bible.
I will debut as Host of an Internet Radio show on July 10 called---what else---WHATEVER!
I was recently featured as Baby Boomer expert on MSNBC's Boomer Nation series.
I'm available to speak to your womens group or book club on a variety of subjects.
One final thing.....I'm a middle-aged newlywed and I'm absolutely loving it!!! |
