Brian A. Hartford is a writer on the beaches of the Delmarva Peninsula. Brian wonders to Iceland often. It is his wife, Dorothea's, native land. He devotes his time between traveling, marketing his three published books, writing prose, and sharing his prose and poetry in writing groups. Brian is Marine Corp veteran from the Vietnam era. He is a registered guest speaker on organ/tissue donor awareness for the Washington D.C. Regional Transplant Community. He is an active member of several writer groups: Writer's on The Beach, Eastern Shore Writers Association, The Writers Group in D.C., and The Maryland Writers Association. Brian hopes to finish "Change of Heart-Part II" (tentative title) this year. The story starts where the published "Change Of Heart" left off. It is a journal of how he has used his gift of life with his wife Dorothea. "I am sure my motivation to start writing in earnest is when my psychologist suggested journaling my feelings about the loss of my deceased wife in 1990. The support of my co-author Peggy gave me the confidence to write. Dorothea (Dora) came into my life after the writing of 'Change Of Heart'- the first book." Since Brian met and married Dora, she has added the necessary ingredient to continue his passion for writing and weave his stories. When Brian recieved his first royalty check , Dora smiled and said, "Cheer up, it at least covers your Starbuck@ bill!" Peggy McCardel started as Brian's editor- a professional writer herself in the technical world. "Our friendship has no limits, for we shared a deep synergy of spirit in common." Brian says. Now, Peggy and Brian have published their third joint work- an action novel titled "Red Ink: The Timpano Dossier" . A sequel, "Red Ink: The Good Guys", is almost completed and once again ready for their editor's "red ink". For the loyal readers, do not be surprised if you recognize a few characters from their second book "ECHO! FIVE! HOTEL!" .
