History has a way of repeating
itself, even between authors and
readers.
Before the industrial revolution,
books were custom-made one at a
time, written by an author then
hand delivered and discussed with
readers. Usually, the author and
the reader formed a relationship,
and as a result, both the quality
of the work and the level of
reader/customer satisfaction were
excellent. In those times,
however, only a fortunate few
could actually acquire books
because of reproduction barriers
and
costs.
Then came the industrial
revolution, with it brought mass
production and sweeping
distribution arms, the reader and
author no longer had the ability
to form a relationship, and both
the quality and customizability of
the work declined.
Today, yet again a medium is
evolving where authors can create
books and share them with readers
in an exciting face-to-face
environment much like thousands of
years ago.
Today with AuthorsDen.com it’s
easier than ever for someone to
create, publish, sell and interact
with fellow authors and readers in
a “similar” way that existed
before the dawn of the industrial
revolution.
AuthorsDen is focused on
re-creating the historical
face-to-face author and reader
relationship where authors create,
share, interact with each other
and sell direct to their readers,
but this time rather than taking
place in a town square or temple
it takes place online and
throughout the world.
As Charles Dickens once wisely
reminded a young author:
"You write to be read."
