International artist/poet, D. Russell was born in Lewes, Delaware. She is Lenape and a member of one of the founding families of Delaware. King's Church marks an ancestor's (an English immigrant) death as 1684, long before this land became America. Russell has resided in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and lives in Fort Collins, Colorado near the Rocky Mountain Foothills in one of the best cities in the USA. Russell is a freelance writer and award winning poet.
