I am a seafaring fellow that sail the oceans of life!  Having the inner desire to keep myself positive and motivated, I began to scribe motivational musings, nautical style, under the pen name Dread Pirate. I began to share a little of my experience, philosophies, and revelations, with the others via weblog, in an effort to help them keep it real, keep it motivated, and keep it positive.  I soon realized that my nautical writing style, motivational nature, and positive mental attitude, afforded shipmates insight into their own lives.  Their personal feedback helped me to understand that my words were having a profound affect on those who took the time to read them. The thousands of comments, cards, post cards, letters, and emails, I have received over the years are testament to that.  My weblog efforts became very popular, so much so in fact, I was asked to place my work into a ‘permanent’ form by my readers.  This soon led to the creation of Dread Pirate ebooks (DPebooks TM) and ultimately to my first very successful motivational ebook, The Imperial Dread Sea Scrolls.

My nautical style motivation continues to help shipmates sail the oceans of life with the release of volume II of the Imperial Dread Sea Scrolls.  I have continued with a second volume that houses a larger collection of motivational essays, a nautical terms dictionary, as well as a sailing flag dictionary. The second volume is titled, The Imperial Dread Sea Scrolls, Volume II, Crossing the Line into Motivation has also been well received by my readership.            As you may have noticed from the front page, I also pen under the name MM.  Truth be told, I have written under the penname MM long before I ever thought about writing in the motivational essay genre as the Dread Pirate.  After creating my epublishing homeport of DPebooks, I took the time to put my very best horror work, Birthright… Slayer, into electronic book format. (The exciting adventures of Charles and Molly are also available here at the AD Bookstore!) This vampire slayer novel was an absolute joy to pen for me. The characters seemed to take on a life of their own and the story unfolds in a way that most find exciting and fun. The success and feedback of my effort in the horror genre has been nothing less than astounding to me. So please, do not be confused if you see a book, or two, on this page that is penned by The Author MM!
