The story inside begs to come out and is granted somewhere along life's path. Mine began when I was an undergraduate at the University of Kansas. Journalism was quickly ruled out because my reporting was too creative. I went on to a career in foreign languages, mainly teaching them, but that unfulfilled desire to write nevervanished. Short stories and poetry kept on emerging in literary reviews and journals. They were a satisfying hobby. I retired and began traveling more and more with my husband. We spent time in Europe and Asia and had already made Mexico a second home. A major tragedy occurred just as we were getting used to a world traveler status. Our daughter was the victim of a murder-for-hire attempt. Although she survived and lives today the event and its ramificationschanged us forever. That old writing haunt becameso strong it had to be accommodated. I spent the next few years of my life participating in the pursuit of justice and the writing of a true crime book called TWO CODES FOR MURDER. I became something of a celebrity, appearing on the Sally Jessy Raphael Show in New York and later on, doing a book signing tour through `12 western states. This led to writing a new book, a small guide to touring and selling books called HAVE BOOK - WILL TRAVEL. At present I am marketing a third book, THE THIRD AGE COMETH which, back to short stories, chronicles the lives of some fascinating older citizens and attempts to be of service to an aging population. Writing has become more than satisfying, but even more so are the conversations I have had with my readers. For as long as I keep creating I want to hear from the people who are touched and inspired by the words I have put on paper.
