My name is Charlotte K.Brummett and I have been writing most of my life. My first book release, "Doozy, the Lonely Firefly," has been published since June 2006. This is the first in the collection of my Doozy and Thoozy Children's Books. Translated into Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese.
I feel this is one of many rewarding accomplishments in my life. I received five Editor's Choice Awards and certificates from the International Library of Poetry. Doozy the Lonely Firefly is currently in several school systems as well as being in three library systems. I am so pleased and want to thank all of the school officials for this opportunity and accomplishment. I am truly grateful to God and to all those who made these things possible for me. My Doozy and Thoozy Children's Books have become very popular for kids to enjoy. Targeting ages pre-school through fifth grade, Doozy is set to be a true success. Success for me is when I know that one child smiles when reading or hearing the story of Doozy the Lonely Firefly.
But my real success story is that I have a daughter, son and three beautiful granddaughters and two awesome grandsons. I love them very much! I am blessed in life.

Doozy and Thoozy will brighten any child's day, and keep the kid in you young at heart no matter what your age. It is also a great resource for teachers, parents and grandparents who wish to introduce ideas of purpose, belief, identity and love in a child.
I plan to release the Spanish version soon. I love writing and I enjoy what I do. Doozy the Lonely Firefly is a dream come true for me.
My dream is for my books to become a children's television program or a play. I am currently working on Doozy the Lonely Firefly becoming a local play. Life size costumes for my three creations, Doozy,Thoozy and Mercedes are on my list of bringing my story to life on stage.
I have received four Editor's Choice Awards from the International Library of Poetry for my poems titled, "A Survivor's Longing," and " The Moments." I also was chosen Poetry Ambassador for 2008. I've been in the Public Library System since 1995, as I have a great love for books and what they represent. I currently am into Journalism and love every minute of it.
I do not write because of money. I write because I have a passion for it. However, the best feeling I have is when I see smiles on the little faces of children at the readings I do and at my book signings.
With vibrant illustrations throughout, of course my favorite one is where Doozy is pouring his heart out to Mercedes as to how lonely he is. Mercedes instills in him a sense of purpose, security, belief and love. Doozy learns to love his little life and finds his true happiness.
Like Doozy, I love life and the world is God's rainbow as HE is the creator of all things. We all have a purpose.
I thank God for the way HE gave me the insight to write Doozy the Lonely Firefly. I know that here on earth authors have all rights to their work. But to me, God owns Doozy the Lonely Firefly as HE is my keeper and guide. I believe my christian faith is the key to staying healthy, happy and successful in life. My family is my favorite pastime as well as my love for writing. I have a beautiful daughter and a wonderful son and five awesome grand children.
Writing is like feeling a warm breeze breathing on me as I engulf my thoughts and energy to the very moment I am in, like this one. I love to travel. I love the islands as well as the good ole' country.
