Janie De Coster always had a desire to write. Early in school she wrote poems and short stories, Her dream was to one day write a book and her dream has come true. She is the author of two newly release books. Man of My Dreams? which has been reviewed as an inspriring and outstanding novel and her latest novel, Love on the wrong side of town.

Janie De Coster was always a reader. She would read books while other kids played outside. Eventually as she got older she began to write poems. Soon it advanced to short stories and essays. Her favorite authors are Terry McMillan, Eric Jerome Dickey and Carl Weber.

Janie De Coster has been featured in SHE Magazine and also PEE DEE WOMEN'S INNERVIEWS MAGAZINE June 2007 issues. Both Magazines are available in South Carolina. Janie De Coster along with several other local authors from the beautiful state of S.C such as Minnie Dix, Cheris Hodges, Sunida E.York, Christine Young-Robinson and Frances Dubose Singleton was featured at The Black Expo 2007 on August 11 in Florence South Carolina. The event was great and Vickie Winans really brought down the house with her outstanding soulful voice.
