At Oaktree, John directs the firm's capital formation activities. He has been instrumental in advising more than 1,000 software CEOs on their capital requirements in raising both debt and equity capital for our medium-sized software clients.

Accomplishments: At A.M. Razo, an investment banking firm located in Irvine, California, John participated in transactions valued in excess of $10 million. Prior to Razo, John was president of an investment firm that specialized in reverse mergers. Since his early career start in the aerospace industry, John has played critical roles in the founding, operations and funding of more than ten private and public companies.
At Oaktree, John has developed Strategic Partnerships with over 150 funding partners ranging from individuals to private foundations. John has authored numerous magazine articles, from desktop marketing to trading cash for equity, as well as an article entitled Investigating Alternatives to an IPO, that appeared in Business Age Magazine.
Education:
John completed the advanced management program at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
