My name is Kim Mulroney. I am a published (although lightly) poet in several on line publications such as but not limited to, Cynic Magazine, Shadow Poetry and Events Quarterly. I was voted as one of the top poets of 2006 and 2007 by Cynic Magazine. My work appears in five paperback publications and two Anthologies.

I spent 17years as a Land Survey Drafter and lost my job to a younger lessor paid twenty something back in September of 2006.

Lets just say I am not a spring chicken and that I have a close relationship with Estroven (great over the counter supplement, not for men) as with extra calcium for strong bones. I 'm sure all you other women know exactly what I am saying. I do not make weird noises when I get out of bed or a chair, as of yet.

My point is, because of my age and the hourly wage I had toiled over the years to acheive, it took 13 months to find another job.

I could not even get a minimum wage place to interview me. I was lucky enough, however, to obtain a position in Government. A local Government. They offered me five dollars more an hour than what I was making and a thirty seven and a half hour week with one hour of paid lunch everyday. As a taxpayer, I was thrilled to be put in a situation where I may be able to help Government understand how much of our money they waste.

On March 24, 2009 I lost that position, as did approximately twenty one other people. Many who had been employed there for many years. I went without a fight because I learned something about Government. They are stealing us blind!

And as long as I worked for them, I could not write about it. More on that later. .Stay tuned, as they say.

Now? I cannot even get a minimum wage place to interview me. (Is there an echo in here?)

With my phone not ringing and email not chiming  "You've got mail" I took a writers course. An eighteen month long, one on one with a published novelist. If nothing else, there are many freelance writing jobs out there. I may not be able to pay the mortgage with article money but I may be able to make the car payment. To bad no one is searching for a middle aged (okay, middle, middle aged) ex Government worker with an attitude to write their blogs. I have a lot to say about other "writing" sites as well. Author's Den? You have nothing to worry about!

I am the mom of five children, all of which are grown and off being the very parents they said were to strict, go figure. Except for one, who works for a major utility Company and is the owner of her own two story Townhome. Hince, they only sharp one. I'm kidding of course, they are all pretty pointed headed. Okay , fine. . They are wonderfully bright loving children. (They owe me for this)

I have raised from baby-dom to their last breath, 6 Rottweilers and I have Three more alive and well at my feet as we speak. I have never met a more loving animal.

I am a card carrying member of the Humain Society of the United States, The ASPCA and the Republican Party. The last one needs some work. Believe me folks, they really ARE all the same. I have not donated to the Republican Party since George Bush lied about stemming the illegal immigration.

I AM hard headed, not can be. I am a trusting soul to a point. I can and probably will be opinionated. But, I have a nice smile and you will forgive me eventually or I'll just buy you candy.

I believe in GOD,  I believe in equality, beginning with humanity itself. I believe in Freedom and I believe in America. I believe the blinders need to come off and I believe we can still pull together, because Americans are not quitters.

I believe I' done. See ya out in the writing gallery!
