With 17 years of nursing experience, Leir uses her wisdom and faith from God to entertain and inspire her readers.

Background Information

Leir Williford, a single parent of three children, deals with trials and hardships with wisdom and faith from God. She was born in the Windy City—Chicago, Illinois, residing there for twenty two years. She then regrouped to the small town of Tamms, Illinois, relocated to the Sooner State settling in Claremore and Tulsa, ventured to the Lone Star State inhabiting in Houston, journeyed to The Sunshine State dwelling in the town of Tampa. With each new location, she embraced various cultures and surroundings. Being a mother of three and a registered nurse, she has seen, heard and read many deplorable occurrences happening to the youth of today—inspiring her to pick up the mighty pen to attempt to make a difference. After her children left the nest, she relocated to The Big Apple—New York City, where her writing blossomed into a passion. She’s a fresh writer combining tales of the bible with life tragedies. She’s studied the bible and attended bible classes since the age of 11, highlighting on the Old Testament. Leir has worked as an RN, offering physical and mental support for her patients. Now, she entertains and inspires her readers with her tales of wisdom. Her first novel Voice of the Eyes deals with reaching life crossroads and making choices—good and bad. It highlights on faith of four African American siblings struggling from abusive childhoods into secretive adulthoods. It reinforces the fact that one person can make a difference and sometimes it’s okay to believe in the unexplainable, trust in the illogical and our voice can be heard through our eyes. Inspired by her own experiences raising her granddaughter, she is currently completing her second tome, a self-help guide for grandparents raising grandchildren. This book helps these grandparents identify and process their own grief and other difficult emotions encountered during the job of raising their childrens' children.
