The daunting, and seemingly endless trials and tribulations of two single parents are portrayed with a superb mixture of humor, warmth, and reverence. Told from two points of view, the focus of the story is not only the relationship between Bryn and Chase, but distinctly personifies the parent-child relationships of two very different families. Lori Zecca has come full circle—from New York based production editor to sales and marketing director to published author—she is finally fulfilling her dream of writing fulltime. Contributing editor to several monthly trade magazines, Lori likens her lifestyle to that of a mad-hatter, or more aptly: the wearer of many hats, as her writing is often interspersed between the demands of her active family-life. When she isn’t researching and writing articles, promoting her novel, or writing new ones—Lori judges various writer’s contests, is an active member of RWA and her local chapter, MORWA, a lecturer, and an essayist—contributing to several anthologies –“There and Back" in the anthology Let Us Not Forget, endorsed and contributed to by senators Bob Dole and Bob Kerrey, is slated for July 2003 release. A second anthology, “The Day Our World Changed: Ordinary People—Extraordinary Circumstances" in United Against Terrorism is available now at www.publishamerica.com or amazon.com (as well as other .com’s). Her most notable contribution, “A Day in the Life of a Writing Mom" in the anthology Crumbs in the Keyboard: Courageous Women Juggling Life & Writing, has been released in conjunction with a special presentation of charitable intent to The Center For Women and Families at the 2002 World Romance Writers Retreat. Additionally, the “Crumbs project” includes a show of financial and emotional support from National Best Selling author, Fern Michaels and Stella Cameron, and all contributors have pledged to donate 100% of their royalties to the center as well.
In her free time, Lori indulges her family, friends, and yellow Lab, her passion for fine art, gardening, and wine, and is a devoted hockey-mom. She currently resides in St. Louis, Missouri.
