	Maralee Lowder is a writer of mixed genres - romance, horror, mystery, and humor. Although her first published novels were all romances, she found herself unable to stick to one genre within that genre. How much more fun it was to write scary stories, or funny ones, or mysterious romances, than to stick to the usual straight love story. Life is filled with all sorts of emotions, why stick to just one? And then came along a story that had nothing at all to do with romance - in fact it was just the opposite - but simply had to be told. Offering very little resistance, Maralee allowed herself to become immersed in what could only be described as a horror story, which she titled The Mortician's Wife. She never intended to follow it with a sequel, but her readers demanded it. So, along came The Mortician's Revenge. The final "Mortician" book, The Mortician's Legacy will be the last of the trilogy. Birth Place: Long Beach, CA US Accomplishments: I rarely submit my books to contests. However, my Romantic Comedy, Cupid's Error, won my publisher's 2001-2002 Best Paranormal of the year award.
