My name is Mary E. Coe. I was born in Florence, South Carolina. At the age of seventeen, I moved to Washington, DC with my family. I lived in DC for several years, from there, I moved to San Diego, California where I got married.
I've been married to the same spouse for over forty two years. I'm the proud mother of three sons and two lovely daughters. I have nine grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews; and grand nieces and nephews. I came from a large family of nine children. I am number seven. I only have one brother that's still alive, he was the second born.
All of my other siblings died much too soon, between the ages of seven months and sixty five years old. Except my oldest brother, he lived until a few days before his eightieth birthday. Both my parents are deceased.
I've had a love for writing since I was a very young girl. I write original songs, poems, plays, short stories, and articles. Some of my writings are fictitious and some are fact based. In 1993 I had four poems published in the library at Citrus College.
From 1982 through 1989 I was founder and director of a youth performance group. The group consisted of young people ages eight to eighteen. My two daughters performed with this group. The All City Youth Performing Arts Group, performed at places like the Los Angeles County Fair, different Malls, Senior Citizen's Home, and Children's Homes. The group also competed in several talent shows, and won several trophies.
I am presently working on a children's play, a book of poems and a collections of short stories.
I recently self published one of my children's plays' "The Prince of Betherland". "The Prince of Betherland" is now available on www.Lulu.com and www.Amazon.com It can also be ordered at different book stores.
I have been a Content Producer for Associatedcontent since March 23, 2007. I have been a member of Authorsden since May 22, 2007.
My hobbies are reading and creative writing. I, also, love making home videos; and taking family pictures with my digital camera.
Accomplishments: Recently self published a children's Screen play "The Prince of Betherland"
