Background Information

Major influences Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism. Tina Turner's life story, Oprah Windfrey, Audre Lorde, Bell Hooks, Halle Berry, Jamaica Kincaid. Very interested in human relations and the effects history has on people and their interactions with the world. Studying the human figure through sculpture and figure drawing has been a major influence in my art. I write to heal and in doing so help others to find answers and to heal;I write to contribute to World Peace and to create harmony and dialogue amongst all cultures, ages, races, classes, genders, sexual differences; as well as to fight against all the 'isms' in which we find ourselves so deeply entrenched. I believe in the law of Karma. It definitely works. My belief is that one's environment is a reflection of one's life condition, and it is better to live one's life in truth and with integrity in order to create legacy and a positive life-force.
