I'm a religious and philosophical independent. My favorite works of philosophy are "The Hunting of the Snark" by Lewis Carroll, and "Harold and the Purple Crayon" by Crockett Johnson; my favorite short story is "Turn the Page" by Zenna Henderson; and the biggest influence on how I think was Edward deBono's work on Lateral Thinking.

My first novel, "The Shoals of Time," was published in 2001. Early in 2002, I wrote a short story about one of the characters, and then a wrote a prequel called "Deadly Attractor" about a character introduced in the short story. While waiting to see if I make a sale, I've started a third novel, set current day, about a threat to mankind's ability to support a technological civilization.
