To paraphrase Steve Martin in that old movie, The Jerk, "I was born a poor white child." Being tired of having nothing, I quit school at sixteen and went to work. I enlisted in the U.S. Army as soon as I was old enough and served with the Army's First Field Force in Vietnam from 1967 to 69. My military service paid for my education through the GI Bill. So unlike the flag waving, draft dodging hypocrites running America today, I understand poverty and war in a way they never can.
I try to use my writings to support America's Veterans and help draw attention to the problems they face every day. My writing partner, and long time friend, Terry P. Rizzuti, and I have spent years working with other veterans on projects we hope will benefit all veterans.
I'm a fun loving and adventurous guy with an offbeat sense of humor. My hobbies include writing, photography, sailing, fishing, playing blackjack and poker, and building things. As you can tell by the shirt I'm wearing, I love the tropics and the laid back life style.
Accomplishments: Educated beyond my abilities. Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army. The usual "I was there" Vietnam War Medals. While attending Graduate School at the University of Oklahoma, I worked with Terry P. Rizzuti, Wilbur J. Scott, David Vu, Vinh Nguyen, Tu Van Be and others to create the Vietnam Memorial Scholarship Association. This scholarship program has provided financial aid to many Vietnam Veterans, their children, and the children of our former South Vietnamese Allies.

| A boatbum at heart. I like being on the water, listening to the sounds of the wind in the rigging, the water against the hull. That's when I relax and just enjoy life. |
