I take the name Hislop, as nom de plume from my mother's Scotland family name. Resident in Spain from 1985 until December 1999, (Madrid and Salamanca): some of my literary translations have included 1927 Spanish Generation Poets. I am interested in revivalist movements in modern poetry.

Accomplishments: Organisation of bilingual poetry readings at Casa do Brasil, Madrid Complutense University, Escuela Oficial de Idiomas, (Madrid Official School of Languages), Cafés Manuela and Magerit, O’Connors Pub, Madrid, El Ateneo and El Corrillo in Salamanca.
I am currently Editor-in-Chief and resident poet of www.poetrylifeandtimes.com
