The poem that did it for me!!
My Secret Wounds
I Quote:
|
Dear Tinka,
I’m sorry you’ll be unable to join us at the upcoming
International Society of Poets’ Annual Convention and
Symposium to be held at the legendary Riviera Hotel and
Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, July 20 – 23, 2006. |
However, because we don’t want you to miss out on
this amazing opportunity altogether, we have arranged
a way for you and your poetic accomplishments to be
part of this event in a most important way, without
you actually being present. Although you’ll be unable
to participate in the convention contest (you must be
able to recite your poetry in front of the contest judges
to win), you can still receive your
Outstanding Achievement in Poetry Award
(a custom engraved
13-inch tall crystal statuette), and your bronze
Commemorative Award Medallion. We will also include
one full year of membership into the International Society
of Poets for 2006 and a subscription to its magazine,
Poetry Today. All you have to do is allow us to present
one of your poems at this year’s convention in your place.
Tinka Boukes, Your Poem Can Still Be Read at the Largest
Gathering of Poets in History"
And so it did happen and this is the living proof of my most
joyest moment since my first poem was published

Beneath My Chest by Tinka Boukes Wednesday, October 27, 2004

"Beneath My Chest”
When beneath my chest you came to rest
This heart deep within did fail me
I drop my head in shame
And lay my hand upon my chest
To cover up the hurt inside
Cause something deep inside did break
Leaving me with a deep stabbing ache
With a drowsy pain within my heart
Knowing without measure I lost a treasure
Tears tumbling down my face
Splashing to a stop in the sand
Beneath my chest you came to rest
My heart imprisoned by love
But this heart deep within did fail me
As I drop my head in shame
I lay both my hands upon my head
Looking up to the sky
Forgiveness I beg for
Tears tumbling down my face
Splashing to stop in the sand
As I still walk my beach alone
Standing tall in pain
Beneath the deep blue sky
All I can do right now is cry
And drop my head in shame
Knowing I love You...
Who came to rest beneath my chest

Tinka wanted some more funny.
When I do a sketch I do them in a hurry,
because I have too much dang stuff to do.
I like taking more time on a sketch, but.....

Miss, do You have the Time?
by Ron (sketchman) Axelson Friday, May 30, 2003
Excuse me Miss, do you have the time
Look bud, don’t give me that line
All you men are alike, it should be a crime
You know miss, you’re certainly unkind
All I wanted was the time
Your not kidding me, you just want to get in my clothes and dine
By the way miss, you do look fine
See, there you go you man slime your just another horny toad, and I wouldn’t give you a dime
Please miss, don’t call me names you’re going to make me whine
Will you just please go away you little perv you really have got some nerve
Miss, you really are absurd I’m a billionaire if you haven’t heard
Sir, my phone number is 667-9929 and I live at the corner of Dunlap and 3rd.

wake up
make it fast
over and over
toss and turn
lovers churn
dream magic
stirs up cosmic dust
stars sprinkle
lovers hearts
beat and beat

rising passion sun
embrace & hold tight
kiss slumber

“Looking Back”
I looked back today To all the pathways I walked in my life I could see all the winding roads and turn-offs All the highways and cry-ways Even by-ways And I know the footprints of my life Was planned long before I took my first breath And every step tells a story As I see every cross road clearly now But through all this You stood by my side And when ever I was lost and lonely You came to my rescue Because you knew I was only human And without me even knowing You kept an eye on me And kept me in your heart You held guard over me
And kept my dreams alive Dear friend I feel it in my heart You are always there To pick me up when I am down And you always leave me with a smile How can I ever thank you For being the good friend you are We are connected in spirit You are so precious to me And I want to say this “I love You” With all my heart Dear Heart

I walk my beach alone I walk tall in pain Holding my head up high No good to even try Only you could stop my cry What is the use of abuse When your man runs out on boose And you get bruised that's no excuse I refuse to give...yes I refuse to give That's what I call been abused I walk my beach well Pick up some shell Looking for some answer But a heavy swell what a disaster Knocks me over And I cry out of laughter But now I walk my beach with you My feet in your feet My eyes is your eyes And all I need is my Ocean My Shell, my Soulmate My eyes in your eyes With love abuse instead That's all I need That's all I need Always Indeed Copyright ©2002 Tinka Boukes

Daughter of Zeus “Romance”
by Amor Sabor
Thursday, April 24, 2003
Daughter of Zeus rides the eloquent dawn on midnight stallions to an apocalyptic moon relaying without hesitation all of her desires with her long hair flowing in constellations as Venus watches inspired in the distance with her mouth agape and eyes wide open
She returns with dawn in synchronous time to wash the sleeping valleys with a red kiss and to spread the scent of jasmine in the air married with the fresh salt of a pacific storm with colors of songs and aromas of smiles to coax soft memories from their rigid perch
She opens her arms and embraces the world teaching all of the exotic birds the art of flight while waiting for the white gardenias to bloom in the innocent splendor of untouched virgins, and in anticipation of pink roses and carnations for the early spring to wear as badges of honor
The daughter of Zeus caresses the morning as she brings with her the secrets of heaven whispered from the lips of sensuous angels tucked beneath the satin of her folded wings and disperses them in the breeze for lovers in the form of a rainbow in a golden sunrise
She reclines next to me in remarkable dreams while in the beauteous nudity of eloquent youth while my eyes drink the nectar of her essence She weaves her magical spells of enchantment and without even flinching an eye as I kiss her or whenever I adoringly paint her with my body
When she leaves she takes with her the horizon and uncurls it turning it inside out like the sun and I pronounce it as a star for her evenings to shine warmly upon us as we melt into one exchanging cells in an unforgettable embrace and transferring our energies in a tireless ritual
I worship her while becoming the rings of Saturn to revolve around her every minute of the day like separate entities in an endless universe swept away in Magellanic clouds of ecstasy accompanied by the symphony of bright stars and a chorus of angelic voices in the crescendo
The daughter of Zeus has already claimed me and I, in turn, submit to her deep, fond wishes and without my asking for anything in return except for the chance to perpetuate her love as I track her with beating heart and keen eye to always be there the moment she awakens

"Sister Of the Gods"
Graceful, lovely... Happy maker of letters, Cheetah of the grAsland of grace and wonders... She runs through the Prairies preventing blunders; Treasure, she is Poet to make life better!
Ink and scent of Youth, her plume is no bettor; Notion comes free, Beauty is never sunder... Kindness flows on In the lake of love, under Auspice that stands pReserving without fetter...
Butterflies dance Through the clouds of the sky Overseeing Her smiling face with bliss... Umbowed, standing prouD, this Poet I kiss!
Kindred soul of Angels, keeping life high, Enthused presence,Yearly giving her heart... Sister of the gods that humans impart!

"The Full Power of Love"
As I seek love in the silence of nature I feel passion, in the quiet moments of night For solitude allows the heart to speak Isolation invites the heart to sing Love remains the only power of the heart. It can change . . . the disposition of the heart. That secret beauty of love does not lie Within the beauty nor colors of a butterfly But within the silence of the cocoon From whence it comes. Yes it lies . . . Within the quietest yearning of the breast And the full power of love That lies untouched Deep within the whispers of the heart It awakens and unfolds time and time again Like the seas approach and return Time and time again, time and again. Does love remain . . . The only power of the heart?

Tinka Boukes is a housewife and mother. She loves
nature and has a free spirit that can move from one
emotion to the next in a heart beat. She has a very
good sense of humor but when it comes to the heart
she is very true in her love. "The Full Power of Love"
is a tribute to her "Lifeline." He was the one who asked
her to write a poem about the ocean. Her very first poem
"To Walk My Beach" and was written on
14 November 2002 and since then,
she wrote a total of 800 poems. ~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~*~
Of True Might And Tall - for Tinka by Albert Swanson

The skies shall softly
allow, their water's to be shed down long spickets of dread to describe the tangible moments with you When your heart lay barren among rock, lying stone, and the soothing pebble
The water knew It rolled quite, evenly to wash your heart in the waving airs; with an ameliorated conscience never found but offered
as stunning gold; lifted placed as a spotted sun around your head
The coda simple that the membranes pains scars, and hurting lacerations bold, whenever meant to
truly serve you; in the blue of the high fainted sky
where the wishes stored tight, vaulted and whims, alas are sorted; glass for time; the fall
and the sleek murmurs of he wistful heart always Gathered so far space, where the angels slim in might and tall
To capture the cruelties of us all
In time and places

The Howling Wind by Gary Scott Gebert Saturday, February 07, 2004

More song lyrics from long ago... |
|
When the western wind blows away,
and the teardrops…
and the teardrops misty spray on your face.
The harder we try to rhyme,
and the heartbeats…
and the heartbeats are all out of time.
How can we tell the storm is real?
When the warm sunshine…
when the warm sunshine you never can feel.
In the howling wind
Diamonds that glow in the night,
somehow…
somehow, you know it will be alright.
The harder we try to rhyme,
and the heartbeats…
the heartbeats are all out of time.
Diamonds that glow in the night,
somehow…
somehow, when you don’t need the light.
In the howling wind

To Tinka by G E Morrison Monday, July 11, 2005
Another very special poet that embraces us all in love
and word.
Tinka doesn't mind poetically expressing her feelings.
She does this
in a super entertaining manner, using music,
humor and the works.
Throws it right out at us all with no shame
in her game...
*****************************
I know why, in your poetry, you laugh and cry. We all feel your pain, through your fantastic poeming we all gain. Your friendship has no measure, to all of us it's a loving treasure.
Tinka always there, shining bright star in our poetic hemisphere. Twinka will take us way out, to only return us through her loving poetic route. When all is said and done, Twinka sure is great fun.
We all have walked her beach, in words she's brought it to our reach. We all have shared her loving heart, which surely is her greatest part. Out of all our poetic crew, Tinka shines brightest in review. Always there in highlight, Twinkling star shining super bright.

A tribute to one of our finest, a lady, I'm proud to call my friend: Tinka Boukes. |
|
Our Tinkerbelle, she's oh, so swell, her writes the truth proclaim, He gave her a heart of gold, and she writes with the same. Her life, like all, has ups and downs, and she gets her share, of the things we'd rather be without, but her loyalty's always there. Her warrior's ways, are strong and true, her love knows no bounds. Her writes are true and full of life, her thoughts are so profound. There's people that ya meet , that touch your very soul Well she's one a those, I'm proud to know, her love shines true and bold. So here's to you, Tinka dear, keep writin, and givin us hope, and Know our prayers, are followin you, in all you do, and where'er, you may go! |
