At times, one has to survive on sheer wit, wily ways, and wishful wisdom. Where to some life is a test, I liken it more to a pop-quiz. Only those quick enough, creative enough, witty enough to react, are allowed to move on to the next experience, the next round.
Over the years, luck, fate, and roads traveled have put, placed, yes, even dropped a wealth of colorful moments in my path. Chronicling the oft times funny, emotional, dramatic, yet always colorful characters chance assembled to orbit my formative youth, 'Never Play Leapfrog with a Unicorn' unflinchingly looks at one Family Tree, or as my dad so called it, '...the Family Bush!'
So sit back, put your feet up, pull the box of Junior Mints® a bit closer...the show is about to begin.

Hello to all Authors Den alum, I thank you for dropping by. I would also like to offer a sincere Thank You for the 15,000++ hits/reads you have given my posts since joining in Feb/Mar '08. I came hoping to find a few readers & found an audience.
Being a POD author, marketing seems to be 'catch as catch can', but you forge ahead, waiting, hoping for a traditional publisher to give you a look, a read, a nod, while happily settling for new found readers.
Because of the strength in numbers excerpts from '..Unicorn' has received, the warm & encouraging reviews/comments & because of the confidence in the book, I would like to make an offer; buy this book & if for any reason, even if for no reason, if this book does not stir you to feel, to laugh aloud, to sniffle back a tear, contact me via Authors Den...I will buy the book back from you.
My marketing skills, though simple, are true & honorable.
Best to you,
FWB

| My Li'l Black Dad
"Freeze the brass off a bald monkey!" my dad would say on chilly mornings. "Freeze the balls off a brass monkey!" he'd say in the winters deep-freeze. I thought of this as blue-collar meteorology.

Baseballs, Citrus Suckies, Stanley & Me
Oft times I ponder those good ol’ days and, for the most part, I look back and smile. But the question, the one unanswerable question that has plagued me to this very day? I can’t help but wonder, I really can’t help to wonder, what would’ve happened…
