My corporate life took me around the world, placing me in fascinating cultures and situations, allowing me to intermingle with the richest and poorest souls on a mission of developing their potentials as productive participants in the life we shared. I have been blessed by the experience of being allowed to engage with these people and to absorb their unique perspectives on our world - and getting paid to do it for nearly forty years.
I hold degrees in management, business administration, organizational development and psychology - all acquired in middle life when the goal was chrystal clear, the motivation sound, and the opportunity to apply learning immediately extant. I continue to study the craft of writing, seeing no end but the final one to the need to explore the depths of one's potential.
Now in retirement, I have the full time opportunity to spill out the swirl of a lifetime of unique experiences onto the pages of my novels. I'm particularly sensitive to making minute details in my stories - whether place or sound or scene - recognizable and evoking of personal memory to any reader who may have "been there".
My first two works, Code Name: ORION'S EYE and A Voyage Beyond Reason reflect my writing philosophy. They are genre labled as fiction, action/adventure - but both are based solidly in the lives of real people, places and events. The greatest 'compliment' I received was from a veteran of WWII who read Orion's Eye and told me, "I was there . . . it reads like you were too."
