The authors that have mostly influenced me on my journey so far are J K Rowling (I am a big Harry Potter fan), Dan Brown, David Baldacci, and Robert Ludlum, and I would like to thank them all for their inspiration.
I enjoy books which are exciting, run at a good pace, flow well, and leave things for the reader to work out for themselves - all of which I try to include in my own works.
I enjoy taking the reader on a journey, but then teasing him a little as well, taking him to the left, then to the right, and then suddenly throwing a spanner or two into the works.
I enjoy humor in books, and always include the odd remarks here and there to break the tension and lighten the mood - something I also do in real life.
My first set of books (Trilogy series called "the Prize":
- part 1: The Quest for the Prize, published November 2008
- part 2: The Replenishment, to be published late 2009/early 2010
- part 3: The Final Battle, to be published 2010)
are each full of mystery, challenges, and misdirection as I take the reader on a treasure hunt around England, inviting them to take the challenge of also finding the Prize before the hero's in the book find it....
