I have written stories ever since I could spell and form sentences.  My parents worked as missionaries in rural India and though I lived in boarding school in Hyderabad I went home to a village setting for holidays.  I had little to do except read and write.  Life has been my biggest muse, though authors like Charles Dickens, Daphne du Maurier and Anya Seton more or less shaped the route I would take to tell a story.
