Since May of 2008, Abigail Lurae became a published author of books. She has written and had published, 2 books, which are currently out on today’s market. “Graceful Reflections” was her first book and in March of this year, her novel, “Birthplace of Evil” made it’s debut. Recently, she submitted a children’s book with her own illustrations to a children’s book publisher. As with any publisher, she’s waiting to see if they accept her work. In the meantime of waiting though, Abigail continues to write.
Back in 2004, Abigail began writing for the local newspaper in the community where she had lived. Her articles and the, "Town's People Profile," column she had, encouraged her to continue her writing, largely due to the miracles she witnessed as the results of what she had written. She writes with a passion and a flair designed to touch anyone's heart who reads her works. She has a few genre's she like to write in, Inspirational, Suspense and Children's Literature. "
Abigail has also gotten very much envolved within the Domestic Abuse community via helping others pick up the pieces after leaving their abusers. She's teaching others how to get over being a victim by learning how to rid themselves of the mental abusive vise grip that holds them prisoner. Once a person recognizes they are still victimized, that is the time to gain strength. As Abigail says, "strength leads to courage, courage leads to forgiveness- life is then worth living again."

Many, many moons ago, I was the first born daughter to a very young couple, my mother being a teenager when I arrived in this world. Life became very hard for her and for five years straight after my birth, she gave birth to four of my brothers and my one sister. From all of her difficulties of having a child each consecutive year and she, herself being of a bipolar nature, I was five years old when I was placed in my grandparent's care. From that point on, I was raised by them.
In 1973, I graduated from a Christian high school in Ohio, then two years later, I took a couple of courses at the Arkansas University. I had great plans of becoming a psychologist, but as fate would have it and after a year there, my life took on another direction.
I loved working with my hands plus loved making something old look brand new, so I became an upholsterer and did that line of work for thirty years. During this time, I began to write, just to relax and get caught up in another world, not one like my own reality of life.
Eventually after all of those years of making a living this way, I sustained a back injury and had to give up that tiresome, strenous job. That's when my writing began to blossom and create a way of earning a living. I wrote for a newspaper in the town my family and I resided in at that time, and began to witness miracles from what I had penned and the newspaper had published. Talk about stunned! I couldn't believe it was me, who was making good things happen! From there, I started writing books. If newspaper articles could produce such a positive impact, then surely my books could too.
