I grew up in Cameroon, in the heart of the equatorial forest, in a small village call Ikata. There, we lived outside of the convience of modern life. Each day, we strive for the best and yet all we see was pains, discomfort and poverty.
We lived in a two room apartment, twenty four of us and we struggle to make end's meet. My father was a prison wader, who earns little from his hard job; my mother was a farmer who earns little from her toils.
It was in the midst of these circumstances that, my passion and curiosity to know began. I believe I could change my destiny if I could find my passion and get the knowledge to realize my passion.
With the above resolve, I began my adventure for knowledge beyond the academic class room. I made listening to foreign Medias my hobby, writing and requesting for learning materials from over a hundred different personalities and organizations was equally part of my adventure. I also read widely; one thousand books from different backgrounds. The Bible and other Christian materials were useful tool for my development.
Who I am today, has come as a result of venturing outside of the status quo in search for light. I appreciate the class room and the teacher and student educational concept. I have equally benefited from it, but I believe, limiting one's search for knowledge within this conventional environment is the greatest miss-known. The quest for knowledge should take one beyond the class room, to the world, where every life's experience becomes a class room. Out of the class room, in search for the light which enlightens every man who comes to the world, is the foundation for who I am today.
My adventures and exposures continue till today. When one stop learning he start dying.

Dr Benard Etta, CEO of Nation Builders International is a leading visionary in Cameroon. Authority in life and social sciences. His impact has gone far beyond the boundary of his country. He is a mentor to several individuals and institutions. Author of fifty books, ranging from academic to leadership and Christian series. He is the president of Nation Builders International Institute for Human Development and the Institute for Strategic Studies. He has created some new academic courses, some of which have been integrated in some institutes' curriculum. He is equally a Christian humanitarian, with great passion for the less privileged
For several years he pilot the Nation Builders Football Association, a sport vision aimed at reorienting recalcitrant youths, he organises humanitarian outreaches for widows, orphans, the unemployed and homeless. As a result of his multiple interventions in 2003, he was nominated by a well read Cameroonian newspaper notably the Cameroon Post as the "3rd most influential Anglophone Cameroonian". In 2005, he also won the prestigious title”Man of the year 2005" according to the survey of the American Biographical Institute. This year, he received yet another accolade, an honorary doctorate degree for special field human resource development from Life leadership university USA. He continues to blaze the trail through his several outreaches. He is married to Helen Etta, A biologist turned Educator.
