Candice Reed is a freelance journalist, creates blogs for credit unions, dabbles in copywriting and speechwriting, and once owned her own successful public relations firm. Reed has also been a ghostwriter for a former president, which she really can't talk about. Reed has published more than 5000 business features, personal essays and travel articles in newspapers and magazines including; The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times and The Christian Science Monitor. Reed recently took her own advice and sold her expensive California home and moved to a cabin on Lake Chelan in Washington so she could enjoy life in the new economy.
Candice's writing influences began when she read all of the Nancy Drew books, so Carolyn Keene would have to be the first to inspire both reading and writing. Judy Blume, Kurt Vonnegut and Larry McMurtry, came into her life as soon as she received her first library card. Candice has always been an avid reader, though she prefers humor and historical fiction-not to be read at the same sitting. Candice will read anything she can get her hands on. She has read the classics, popular fiction, business books, and even movies have influenced her writing style greatly.
