I am a great fan of the classical writers, mainly but not inclusive are the British and Russian authors. I however, also read more current fiction loving adventure, spy, horror, sci fi/fantasy and mysteries especially. Of this current genre David Baldacci, Ken Follet and Robin Cook are some that I follow closely. However, I do also admit to being a huge Stephen King and Peter Straub fan.
I have been writing all my life. I started at 10 filling 2-3 scribblers with a single story. I write verse and short stories as well. I got derailed for the last number of years but have come back with a vengeance. I got my first paid publication in 2010. It was non-fiction ironically, and appeared in Chicken Soup for the Soul - Runners. When the publishing happened I knew that I needed to get back to the real passion in my life, and I have. I am halfway through a novel currently and have over 25 stories that I am editing and planning on sending out to seek publication.
I believe writing is placing one's soul on the printed page and letting the world view it. It is a courageous undertaking as it is often treated carelessly. However, if one person is moved or changed in its reading, it's been worth it!
