I voted for George McGovern in the 1972 election to end the Vietnam war, only to see Nixon win a landslide victory and there would be no political solution to the country's serious spiritual problems. I have yet to cast another ballot. I dabbled in writing for local papers in the middle 80's, published a small newsletter in '87 which became quite popular with prisoners before it folded for lack of funds a year after it began as a bi-monthly.

At the insistence of a close friend I began writing and publishing on the internet in 2004 while slowly going blind with cataracts. Near the end of 2005, Ezine Articles became my primary publisher where I have about 170 essays published under the same name I use here. In early 2007, the lights went out with the cataracts and I had my first surgery December 2008. Began writing and publishing again April '09 but have not done too much of it, the past 15 months.
