Jerri Hines was born in Mississippi. Living for the last twenty-six years in New England hasn't lessened her conneciton to her Southern roots. She writes historical fiction and romance along with paranormal suspense. Her love of history has inspired her new series with Whiskey Creek Press, Tides of Charleston. The first book of the series, The Judas Kiss, is scheduled to be released in January, 2012.
Under her pen name, Carrie James Haynes, she has just release the an epic fantasy series, Whispers of a Legend. She has released two installments, Shadows of the Past and The Path Now Turned. Vision of Destiny is scheduled to be released in February.
Her two previous books, Dream Walker (2008), and Patriot Secrets (2010) were published by Wild Child Publishing.
Her earliest influence in writing came from books such as Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, Gone With the Wind, To Kill a Mockingbird. My favorite authors in my youth included Victoria Holt, Kathleen Woodiwiss and John Jakes.
The proud mother of three young adults, she currently lives along the South Shore of Massachusetts with her husband, three dogs, a cat and goldfish.
