Author bio Hawk MacKinney grew up in the Mountains of northwest Arkansas, began writing mysteries for his high school newspaper, & continued through his university years in Texas & Colorado. He is a retired US Navy Special Staff Corps officer, has advanced academic degrees with majors in foreign languages & history. He is the author of papers & articles, taught postgraduate & doctoral courses in universities in the States & overseas, & currently lives on the upper Isondiga-Savanno River in the colonial trading post town of Augusta (Ft. Cornwallis), Georgia.
