I was born dyslexic into an academically orientated family in the days before the disability was recognised - early years were not easy! But I survived and am still writing.
My book, Astrology and Heredity: The Thread of Life, was published in 1994 and 1995 by Blandford Press. It is now out of print although a few copies do keep turning up on the internet.
I began writing poetry and stores (very badly spelt ones) at about 5 and was first published at the age of 8 after winning a promotional competition through my school and receiving a supply of biscuits as a prize together with the inclusion of my story in a book of children's stories. I had to wait many decades before getting into print again. I have had a great many poems published in magazines and in anthologies and also several short stories and articles.
Two years ago I decided to try my hand at e-books and now have 17 published through Smashwords. You can also find them on Kindle. My Dyslexic Journey, is now available as is the latest in the Fluff Gang Series, The Fluff Gang and the New Neighbour.
I paint as well as write and have sold several paintings over the years. My preferred medium is oils, but I dabble occasionally with watercolours and pastels.
