Warren is an author of books on Chinese tea culture, currently living in China.

Background Information

Tea has been my passion for a number of years. Fascinated by its history and provenance, I scoured for books on the subject, collecting a great many. However, I was always dissatisfied with the limited information on Chinese tea culture presented in English tea texts. This unsatiated thirst for tea knowledge, discovering ancient secrets and insights into tea enjoyment, led me to China to experience tea first-hand with some of the greatest modern-day scholars on tea in Fujian, China.

Living in Fujian - a province that has since ancient times produced many of the finest Chinese teas, it is currently the largest tea producing province in China, producing 5 out of 6 major tea types: black tea, green tea, oolong tea, white tea, scented tea. It is within this majestic environment of picturesque cloud enshrouded mountain summits, verdant bamboo forests, and winding shallow rivers that I gain inspiration to write about the subject that I have loved for so long, often over steaming cups of fragrant, rare tea varieties.
