Reformed ad man, mad inventor, entrepreneur (seven startups), wannabe novelist, and author of a best-selling self-help book. Movie fans call me the new age Miss Lonely Hearts.

I've somehow usually managed to make a decent living, first as a hot-shot business exec for major ad agencies, later as a marketing-oriented entrepreneur with a thick enough skin to endure all of the risks and pains of founding and managing startup corporations.
But writing? I hate doing it. I blame my persistant re-entry into the field of authorship on Miss Mildred Linden, one of my high school English teachers. She subtly but profoundly nourished my appetite to express myself with words on paper. And she provided the means for me to discover that I really wasn't too bad at making those words influence others.
So thanks, Mildred, wherever you are. Thanks to you, I learned how to use my compositional skills to open all kinds of new doors in my life.
