I fear waking up one morning and finding out it was all for nothing. We're here for a reason. I believe a bit of the reason is to throw little torches out to lead people through the dark. Whoopi GoldbergI have been married for 22 years and have one son, Joey, who lives in L.A. and is pursuing a career in theatre and music. I love to read, travel, walk, and write, and of course, teach. Major influences have been my family, friends, my therapist, and books. Three books that affected me greatly were: The Road Less Travelled, Mutant Message, and Seat of the Soul. I love to walk, listen to music, and bike ride.

Along with self-publishing my two books, I have developed 2 website, Another Way to Help the Homeless, and Anhony Publishing.
I won a Writer's Digest Self-Publishing book awards, Honorable Mention in the Nonfiction category (1999).

Writing has always been a part of my life, from my first diary in 5th grade, to my self-published books and my endless pile of journals! I am fortunate to take what I know about writing and share it with my students, and their insights are so valuable to me! I am very proud of my two books because they are so personal to me, and the story just presented itself to me when I least expected it. Julie Cameron, Elizabeth Berg, and Natalie Goldberg have helped me tremendously in my writing through their excellent books. I care deeply about people, the problems they face, and the resilience they show.
