I am an ordained minister in my 35th year of pastoral service. I currently serve the Divine Hope Church in Oakland, MD, an independent, non-denominational congregation.. I am married to Cathy (for 43 years) and have two sons, John (33) and Chris (29). Prior to entering ministry, I was in managment positions for Ohio Bell Telephone Company and Sears. I am a teaching and counseling pastor, having done over 25,000 hours of pastoral counseling. I am currently a part-time adjunct instructor at Garrett College teaching Effective Communication courses. Over the years I have witnessed first hand the impact that life traumas have on people, mostly negative. Instead of being fulfilled in life, life often seems incomplete and even helpless and/or hopeless. It is this issue that prompted me to co-author my first book. I am currently working on my Doctorate Degree in Pastoral Counseling through Andersonville Theological Seminary.
