Lynn Jett is the pen name of an explosive engineer who writes fiction for the pure joy of writing. Like many engineers, Lynn loved math and science and initially choose engineering to avoid writing. She attended a college where every written assignment was prefaced with “I know you engineers hate writing, but someday you need to know how.” That someday came sooner than she thought, when she realized that engineering marvels meant nothing if people didn't understand their importance. Being able to communicate complex technical concepts in everyday language became one of her strong suits, and much to her surprise Lynn found she had a passion for writing.
More than just financial security Lynn's "day job" has afforded her the opportunity to travel, to meet unique and interesting people and every now and then experience the rush of adrenaline. These experiences, along with the real-life adventures of her thrill seeking husband and children provide her fodder for new stories on a regular basis. While she's not quite ready to hang up the hard hat and pick up the quill full-time, she always keeps a keyboard handy.
