When I graduated from college with a BS degree in Education, I didn't realize that I would become the author and co-author of 7 successful cookbooks. Then my life changed dramatically when I became the grandmother of 10 delightful grandchildren (not all at once, of course). My love of children's literature came rushing back. I spend countless hours reading to little ones and teaching them the art of storytelling.
It was during a combined storytime/hairbrushing effort with my 5-year old twin granddaughters that my first children's book was born. While trying to comb through their morning tangles, we created a story about the fairy that we decided was the cause of the problem. The result was The Knot Fairy - a children's book that I dedicated, not only to my precious grandchildren, but also to all children who awaken with tangled hair.
My second book, The Sock Fairy explains the mystery behind those missing socks and those pesky holes in the toes. It's really not the dryer after all.
Coming soon is The Belly Button Fairy. What's the real reason everyone's belly button is exactly in the middle?
And you won't believe what's coming next!
