Exotic weapons or settings, or the mundane…Eccentric characters or everyday man. I use them all to write an entertaining story.

Background Information

Platoon Leader and Battalion Commander in the 101st Airborne Division, Taylor completed two tours in Vietnam, served in the Pentagon and deployed to the Middle East with US Central Command before returning to civilain life as a system engineer and even more travel across Europe and the Middle East, then finally settling in the grand community of Lutz, Florida to write. Member of the Tampa Writers Alliance, Florida Writers Association, EPIC and Mystery Writers of America.

Accomplishments

Flash of Emerald is a finalist in the 2004 Eppies.
Past president of the Tampa Writers Alliance, a non-profit writers organization in the Tampa Bay area.

Additional Information

As I trooped around the world as a young soldier, John D. MacDonald’s Travis McGee kept Florida safe from both foreign and domestic foes, treating the ladies as they desired and deserved. More recently, James Hall’s Thorn and Les Standiford’s Deal have kept Florida’s East Coast safe from crime and corruption and animal abuse, as Tom Corcoran’s Alex Rutledge has done for the Keys. But, I fear, we on the Suncoast have been practically abandoned to the evils of the world, protected only by Randy White’s Doc Ford. And Doc is often distracted by the beautiful women lusting after his body and intellect. So I have brought Harry Stoner back to the Suncoast long after an abortive operation in Cuba gave him his fill of Tampa and Ybor City. I hope you enjoy his attempt to regain his old life and earn his place beside Thorn, Deal, Rutledge and Ford - and at the knee of McGee.
