I've been flirting with all aspects of writing horror stories since I was a little girl; I've attempted to write Romances, but it's always turned into a mass murder. When I was little I read Caroline B. Cooney, Stephen King, Christopher Pike, R.L. Stine, and short story writers. I am also intrigued by the fantasy world and have come to love Laurel K. Hamilton and stories like Ella Enchanted (one of my favorite books since I was little). Everything I read I incorporate into my writing; every other technique I analyze and twist, until it fits my own voice. My main influences are the natural world; I can look out a window and create a whole story based on the outside. Also paintings I admire for hours and create a life story for that person, or I use that setting, or I take the intensity of a pair of eyes and make a character that either creates or destroys.
