Her non-profit work called We Care Baltimore provides employment, health, and financial education and resources for Baltimore City, Baltimore County & Prince Georges County residents.

Ms.Poplar is the publisher of The Proud Neighbor Magazine for Maryland. She also is the CEO and publisher of New Day Publishing, LLC, and serves as the author representative for Westview Publishing,Inc..

Ms.Poplar empowers an audience by delivering programs that increase hope, performance and real-life results. As a child, Ms. Poplar peers and siblings considered her to be different.

In spite of academic challenges, undiagnosed learning disability, growing up in public housing, with an absentee father, her persevered to become a positive producing product of her environment.
