MEGHAN'S WORLD was inspired by Meghan's first preschool show and her long journey to wellness. After Meghan's diagnoisis, Renna read and learned all she could about SPD. She researched traditional and alternative therapies with the vision of helping her daughter. She never complained or gave up hope. She understood and wanted to make her children's world a safe and comfortable place. In the end, Meghan triumphed. SPD is no longer a jail-keeper to their lives. The story was written to validate children's feelings and to offer parents and teachers a glimpse into the world of a child suffering with this often misdiagnosed and misunderstood disorder. MEGHAN'S WORLD ends with "Therapies and Helpful Information" pages and "About Me" pages so parents can learn more and start a dialouge with their child - leading to insight about their own child's needs and wants. The Renna family hopes Meghan's story will inspire and heal other families dealing with SPD.
