Voncele Savage grew up in a small town in a very protected home environment. When she graduated from college with a bachelor of music education degree, she very quickly learned she had not developed skills for forging ahead through life. While on spring break in Chicago, she met and fell in love with a very charismatic young man who didn't take very long to show her the abrasive side of life. Since overcoming over 40 years of abuse, maliciousness and incest in her home, she has written 3 books. These books chronicle her life and give biblical principles for other women to follow that are victims of abuse. She became an ordained minister to better enable her to reach out to women in the church that don't know what to do as victims of abuse.
She is a retired educator that has developed a passion for speaking out against domestic abuse and violence. Her rich life experiences have impregnated her with an urgency to let other women know how special and essential they are for maintaining their equilibrium in this topsy-turvy world. She uses her personal testimony as a spring board for launching a campaign against domestic violoence and abuse.
Is domestic abuse and violence rampant in the church? Yes it is. Ladies in leadership, step out of the shadows and confront the issue. Help to heal marriages and relationships. You can be all that God created you to be. A good wife, mother, employee or employer are just a start of the list.
Don't allow the monster of domestic violence and abuse "infect" your life or the life of those whose path you cross.
