C. L. Freire has been writing since she was thirteen years old, but has been dreaming about it since she could hold up a pencil and locate the nearest blank wall. In her early teens, C. L. discovered the music in words and threw herself into poetry; something she became known for throughout her time in school.
In her later teens, she began writing scenes—a venture that carried her into adulthood, when she finally fed her desire to begin writing novels. Five years ago, she began working on her current project, DAVID THORNE: The Golithian Orbs...an edgy, 'tween fantasy about a boy's desperate fight to save the life of the first friend he has ever had....a man charged with murder.
Her work has appeared in the July/July '09 issue of NexGen Pulp Magazine, and in the July '09 issue of TREI Literary Magazine. She has been interviewed on numerous Blog Talk Radio shows, the first of which was rated the highest for the month of May 2008. She has also been invited to be a guest blogger several times over, and has been featured on sites around the web.
C. L. holds a deep passion for the craft itself, as well as for helping other authors achieve their dreams—a passion that led her to start a Myspace page called Writers Together, which is solely dedicated to offering exposure and a sense of community to authors everywhere.
She currently resides in Miami with her husband and their two furry little girls, Midnight (the kitty), and Muffy (the pooch).
