I was born and raised in Arkansas where I still live on part of the old homestead. I spent several years in the service back in the 70's and now get by on a small disability pension. (I never went to Vietnam and I apologize if I gave this impression....I was ready, willing and able....just a little too young. Not complaining or anything....been thankful ever since). I couldn't say who has had influence on my writing more than any other....L'amour is my favorite western writer and many of my short stories are patterned after his work. Reckon I was born too late (or too early), because I very much like sci-fi as well. I also have a love of poetry (hopeless romantic syndrome), but I really couldn't name a favorite....there are too many great works out there for me to select one author.

Any accomplishments in the literary sense are strictly in my own mind.
