At times, one has to survive on sheer wit, wily ways, and wishful wisdom. Where to some life is a test, I liken it more to a pop-quiz. Only those quick enough, creative enough, witty enough to react, are allowed to move on to the next experience, the next round.

Over the years, luck, fate, and roads traveled have put, placed, yes, even dropped a wealth of colorful moments in my path. Chronicling the oft times funny, emotional, dramatic, yet always colorful characters chance assembled to orbit my formative youth, 'Never Play Leapfrog with a Unicorn' unflinchingly looks at one Family Tree, or as my dad so called it, '...the Family Bush!'

So sit back, put your feet up, pull the box of Junior Mints® a bit closer...the show is about to begin.

Hello to all Authors Den alum...thank you for dropping by. I would also like to offer a sincere Thank You for the 41,000++ hits/reads my posts have rec'd since joining in Feb/Mar '08. I came hoping to find a few readers & found an audience.

Being a POD author marketing seems to be 'catch as catch can', but you forge ahead, waiting, hoping for a traditional publisher to give you a look, a read, a nod, while happily settling for new found readers.

Because of the strength in numbers excerpts from '..Unicorn' has received, the warm & encouraging reviews/comments & because of the confidence in the book, I would like to make an offer; buy this book & if for any reason, even if for no reason, if this book does not stir you to feel, to laugh aloud, to sniffle back a tear, contact me via Authors Den...I will buy the book back from you.

My marketing skills, though simple, are true & honorable.

Best to you,
FWB

'Author/Title of the Year' - 'Author/Title of the Quarter' for 'Never Play Leapfrog w/a Unicorn' & 'Staged Affair'...FanStory.

'Never Play Leapfrog w/a Unicorn' has been added to the library of Literary Masters, Inc. (LMI).  If your time allows, have a look, say 'Hi' & listen to arguably the best rock ballad recorded...'For Cryin' Out Loud' by Meatloaf.

When the POD pub for '...Unicorn' sent notification the Amazon page was up, I stumbled over myself to see the page, attacking the forums w/all sorts of come-ons for potential buyers/readers to see & order...but something bothered me.

After a month or two of 500++ curious potential buyers/readers looking at the page & my profile, I thought for sure, '...any day '..Unicorn' will find its audience'...but something still bothered me.

After much too long a time & a few (very few) sales, the bother I'd been feeling became obvious, crystal clear...204 pages, unknown author, twenty dollars...very, very few (see; no one) are going to buy at that price, especially in these tight economic times.

So, I finally figured out how to set-up an Amazon Sellers Account, acquired an in-home inventory & am beyond happy to say I am now able to set a price of $12.00 + post & handling.

From Amazon's '..Unicorn' page, click 'new/used $12.00', then click 'Seller Searchen' (that's me)...that's it.

I still hold true to my offer...purchase any of my titles, be it book or short story & if for any reason, even if for no reason, the write does not stand-up to your reading enjoyment, your scrutiny, contact me via Amazon, Literary Masters, Inc. (LMI) or AuthorsDen.com...I will buy it back from you.

I am proof positive of the logic (marketing) side & creative (writing) side of the brain...my creative side is fine & thriving...my logic side could use a wake-up call..haha.

My Li'l Black Dad
"Freeze the brass off a bald monkey!" my dad would say on chilly mornings. "Freeze the balls off a brass monkey!" he'd say in the winters deep-freeze. I thought of this as blue-collar meteorology.
