L.L Brunk has always been, “a story teller,” or as his grandfather used to say “a forthright spinner of tales.” Having the freedom to share his parables with others brings him peace of mind like nothing else can.
Brunk is a father, and is now a soldier, Certified in Combatives and Human Resources, serving his country with humility. He has been married to his beautiful wife-Jennifer for two years and they have one daughter together, their little cherub Leona. Brunk has an older daughter as well named Vianna, from a prior marriage. Brunk serves his country for his children first during these financially hard times we are living in. His children will never need to make such a sacrifice; so he understands that the hard part is over. Now he tries to find time for his passion in life, each moment he can grasp to be who he is; his writing.
Brunk was born and raised in between the valleys and mountains of central California, spending time in the Santa Cruz Mountains up the winding roads through the lush redwoods of Redwood Estates, then with the elites children in the posh city of Los Gatos, setting at the foot of the mountains. He graduated Fremont High School in Sunnyvale with a most diverse gathering of youth. These are the places where the seeds to his imagination were first planted, where he lived before joining the Army.
During a recent deployment, (not the first), Brunk was serving his time in a key unit contributing to the troops draw down in Iraq. Brunk found time to finish his novel Legatum while working fourteen hours a day completing his duties as a soldier. He wrote during the long sleepless nights, the writing was therapeutic for him, helping get him through the unpredictable days and nights.
Recently Brunk has been doing freelance writing while continuing to work as a Human Resource Expert in the United States Army. He is still a self proclaimed servant, who has sacrificed his liberty for security, and although he may feel undeserving, he is thankful for the work provided him. He's always keeping in mind the best future possible for his children, and living with a new sense of appreciation for what he is now able to share with you. He hopes his writing can inspire you to discover your full potential even during the most troubling of times, and to prompt you into rediscovering your passion in life, and who you are.
L.L Brunk wrote a first person account of the September 13th attack in Kabul titled "Day of Reckoning In Kabul Afghanistan." Has recently written an article titled "Origin of Our Threat & The Danger of Their Ideology", where he details exactly how, when, and where our leadership went wrong when it came to their handling of the war in Afghanistan. Everything in this article is validated and supported by former members of the CIA.
Although Legatum is fiction, many of the author's own experiences have inspired him to create such passionate characters to share with the world. Legatum is an erotic story full of mystery, adventure, fantasy, and romance. A story that he feels had to be told, and now is here to share with others.
On a most recent deployment to Kabul Afghanistan L.L brunk was offered an opportunity to be an advisor to the Consul Nicholas Moore. (The details involved in this job are confidential.)
